Northern Health Public Health Practice and the University of British Columbia are partnering to better understand the learning needs of young parents (age 21 and younger) during pregnancy and in the first year after birth. The team is looking to work with young parents and parents-to-be in rural, remote, Northern, and Indigenous communities to support the Parenting Young Project. There are two ways to get involved:

  1. Join the advisory committee to plan focus groups and a survey for young parents – honorarium of $100* per member will be paid
  2. Apply to be a project assistant to help recruit pregnant or new parents to participate in the focus groups and survey – $20/hour* for approximately 5 hours between March and September 2023.

*Funding for this project is provided by the University of British Columbia
